The end of the course has reached us and so has the presentation of the final projects for the 2016-17 edition of the Advanced Course for Turfgrass Maintenance.
The same as the rest of our courses, pupils have presented their final projects before a panel of examiners after 300 hours of theoretical training and 720 hours of practical training at different golf courses. The projects have been prepared throughout the course at the hands of the best professionals in the sector and beneath the supervision of their tutor Carlos Lima Molina (President of the Association of Spanish Greenkeepers. (AEdG) and Greenkeeper of important golf courses). Tutor Carlos Lima commented:
“Thanks to all of the professionals that have visited as tutors and provided their experience and knowledge to our pupils, and congratulations to those finalists for the course and the final work that they have carried out, knowing that some of them will have a real establishment in the future on a golf course. With this course, we will be able to train professionals that have a good base of knowledge in order that they develop their professional future”.

Congratulations to all the pupils for their effort and dedication during the course both in person and online via the video conference format and encouragement to those that will return to defend their projects in September.
To emphasise also how our method of teaching and continuing with online classes has lead to the presentation of great projects from pupils who primarily followed this route, offering proof of the effectiveness of our mixed system of being present/following online classes via live or prerecorded video conferences. We have included a quote from one of our pupils that enjoyed the course from a following it primarily online:
“The experience on the Top Course for the Maintenance of Sports Lawns, has been spectacular. The facilities at Real Club de Golf de Guadalhorce have helped the classes to be held in the best settings possible. Furthermore, "In addition, to highlight the convenience of being able to follow them online live, since I travel a lot for work, and you can actually participate as if you were in the classroom with all the professionals who teach classes and coworkers."
In other news, we also want to communicate that places for registration for the next course promotion 2017/18 that will start in October 2017 are now open. Places are limited. You can access all the information about the course and the registration process from the following links:
